Privacy statement
At Het Binnenhuys we handle your data with care. In this statement you can read which data we keep and why, and what rights you have.
Who are we?
Het Binnenhuys is let by Hans and Renske in Noordwijk, the Netherlands. You can reach us at binnenhuysnoordwijk@gmail.com.
What data do we keep?
When you book with us or get in touch, we keep:
- your name and contact details (e-mail address and phone number);
- your place of residence and nationality (for the guest register);
- the dates of your stay and the number of guests;
- your payment details, as far as needed to process your payment;
- messages you send us, for example by e-mail or WhatsApp.
We don't make a copy of your ID.
What do we use your data for?
- To handle your booking and send you practical information in advance.
- To answer your questions before and during your stay.
- Because the law requires it: we keep a guest register and pay tourist tax to the municipality of Noordwijk. We also have to keep our accounts for the tax authorities.
We don't send you newsletters or advertising unless you've agreed to this yourself.
Who do we share your data with?
We never sell your data. We only share it with partners we need for your stay:
- our booking system (Smoobu), where your booking and online check-in are processed;
- our bank, which handles your payment;
- our web host (Hostinger).
We have agreements with these partners to protect your data. If the law requires us to, we may also pass data on to the municipality or the police.
How long do we keep your data?
We don't keep your data longer than necessary. We keep booking and payment data for 7 years, because the Dutch tax authorities require this. We keep the guest register for as long as the municipality requires. We delete messages we no longer need.
Cookies
This website doesn't use cookies to track you. Only the booking module may use functional cookies needed to make a booking.
Your rights
You can always ask us what data we hold about you, and ask us to change or delete it, unless we're required by law to keep it. To do so, send an e-mail to binnenhuysnoordwijk@gmail.com.
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, please let us know. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
